THURSDAY NIGHT’S MEETING. The A.D., Brother Fisher, presided over a record attendance of the above lodge, held in the Mayfair hall on Thursday evening. Accounts totalling £25 10b were passed for payment and apologies were received from two past officers. Three members reported on the sick list and three new members were proposed. Among the visiting lodges were members from Lind, Buahine, Oroua, Manawatn and Myrtle. Also in attendance ware: District President Bro. J. Summersley and Past Grand Presidents Bros. P. Jackson (Oroua) and J. Barley (Canterbury). A loyal Druids welcome was accorded them. The ritual contest was then proceeded with, and on the toss of the coin Lind Lodge won, Pahiatua being asked to begin. After a keen contest between the two lodges the judges awarded first place to Lind and warmly congratulated Pahiatua on the rapid progress they had made in their ritual work. To the two new members who were initiated the contest will leave a very great impression.

Eeports were given on the recent visits to Buahine and Myrtle Lodges and members concerned spoke of the good time given them. Past Arch Bro. G. H'. Brown, coach for tho Pahiatua Lodge, spoke in glowing terms of the contest, saying that although Lind Lodge won on points, Pahiatua had won in experience. Dancing was then the order of the evening and under the capable guidance of Bro. M. Power, M.C., a splendid evening was spent. Shortly, after 12 o’clock the function closed with the singing of <£ Auld LaDg Syne.”
