Congratulations are extended to the A and B teams of the local rifle club, on winning the Jones and Collinson Shields at the M.M.R.A. meeting on Wednesday lasL The local team were the holders of the Jones Shield and as they were unbeaten, the shield is still held by the club. in the B grade the Collinson Shield was won by the club against nine teams from other clubs. Some good scores were registered, a very fine possible being shot by L. Rix. The teams and scores were as follows; — Aokautere Al: A. Brill 95, H. Hill 97, J. Gough 98, M. ICristensen 94. A. Crowe 97, total 481. Aokautere A2: L. Craven 90, F. Andrews <l7, K. Field 91, N. Hopcroft 90, L. Hastings 95, total 468. Aokautere B: A. Hopcroft 96, S. Brookie 88, L. Rlx 10J, B. Mitchell 94, W. Hopcroft 94, total 472.
