Registered Southdown Ewes
MESSRS P. F. AND L. B. WALL’S ANNUAL SALE
There was a good attendance of breeders at tho Showgrounds yesterday for tho third annual sale of registered Southdown ewes on account of Mr. P. F. Wall (Hatuma, Hawke’s Bay) and Mr. L. B. Wall (Kairanga). In all, 130 2-th ewes were offered, 105 being on behalf of tho former vendor.
The sheep were in good condition and some outstanding lots were included. The sale, however, was disappointing from the point of view of the vendors. They met the market and there was an excellent clearance, purchasers having reason to be pleased with their buying. Top price of the sale was lOgns., which was paid by Mr. T. W.
