The winning model of D.H. SG express liner for the Union Airways prize was an outstanding individual effort, built to scale by L. S. Houghton, a member of the Palmerston North Model Aero Club. Although not such a large and imposing model as the one which secured a special prize, it was a complete in every detail, with the additional bracing of the tail, which is one of the great features of the Union Airways liners. It was also equipped with landing and cabin lights run from an electric -battery installed in the model. It is an exceptionally complete model of tlio Union Airways liner Karoro, and a close examination reveals painstaking and careful attention and great concentration on the part of tho builder, as it took three months to complete. The postal authorities advise that the mail despatched from this office on May 19 via Panama, per s.s. Durham, arrived at London on June 17. St. Paul's Methodist Church celebrates to-morrow the Gist anniversary of the opening of the first Methodist Church in Palmerston North.
