The death has occurred of Mr Robert William Reaburn, at his residence in Ruahinc street, He was 71 years ol' age. Born in Melbourne, Mr Reaburn came to New Zealand in 1901, bringing his wife and young family with him. lie landed at Wellington and immediately came to Palmerston North. Por over 30 years he had been a resident of Terrace End. Mr Reaburn was a foundation member of the Manawatu Scottish Society and was known throughout the North Island as a judge in former years of piping and Highland dancing, competitions in which he had taken an active part in his younger days. In addition to his widow, Mr Reaburn leaves a family of three— Mr C. Reaburn (Clifton street), Mrs S. Itandell (Taurauga), and Mrs 11. Dench (Rualiine street). The eldest son, Mr Robert Reaburn, passed away at Palmerston North in 1918 as the result of war injuries. Two sisters of the late Mr Reaburn, Misses I. Reaburn and A. Reaburn, of Melbourne, are at present visiting Palmerston North, and two brothers, Messrs D. Reaburn and J. Reaburn, reside in Melbourne.
