Gift Evening for Bride-to-be

Ar. informal surplus* party took place at tb? residence of M\ and Mrs. P. Hickey, Main streot, last Friday evening, the occasion being a gift evening for their eldest daughter, Maeve, w r ho is shortly to be married. Games, songs and elocutionary items were enjoyed and after supper Miss Hickey was called upon to open the numerous presents, which indicated the high esteem in which she is held. Mr. J. T. Martin expressed sincere thanks on behalf of his bride-to-be.

A delightful evening was brought to a close with tho singing of "Auld Lang Gyne. ” Among those present were Misses E. Osborne, C. Broderick, N. Bawden, Power, Bugg and Maxey, Mr. and Mrs. McErlain and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bummers and family, Mr. and Mrs. J. Martin (Thames), Mr. J. T. Martin (Hopelands, Woodville).
