Intermediate School For Palmerston North
MINISTER ASKED TO DEEER DECISION. Resolutions bearing on tho possible establishment of an intermediate school in Palmerston North were carried by the High .Schools Board of Governors last night. .Moved by Mr. W. R. Birnie and seconded by Mr. A. J. Graham, the following motions were carried without comment: —
“That the Minister of Education be respectfully requested to defer any decision as to the establishment of aa intermediate school in Palmerston North pending the results being known of his inquiries into the whole matter from Ihe Dominion standpoint.
“That the Minister be informed that this board would willingly fall in with any method of establishing and controlling intermediate schools which the Minister might decide to apply universally throughout the Dominion, but that in the event cf different methods o; establishment and control being permitted, this board would appreciate the opportunity of placing its views before the Minister prior to any decision being made as to Palmerston North. “That the correspondence between the board and the department, dating from 1925 be brought before the Minister with this resolution.'’
