Party to Celebrate an Engagement

A happy party was held at the residence of Mr and Mrs P. J. Robbie, Seaforth Avenue, Milson, to celebrate the engagement of Miss Zita 0. Robinson, to Mr Philip J. Dowuie. Miss Robinson wore a ruby velvet and silver lame tunic top over a black anklelength skirt, and Mrs Robbie a plaid organdie frock. Both woro shouldersprays of carnations and l'reesias. All the guests autographed a dainty mairc jug, and Miss Robinson received quite a number of other gifts to mark the occasion. The evening passed very happily, dancing and games being indulged in. At a suitable juncture during supper, a toast to the guests of honour was proposed by Mr J. Mudgway, and Mr Downie replied. Those present included: —Misses F. Clapham, M. McShanc, T. Terry, G.
