Fire Brigade
MONTHLY MEETING „ Tho Pahiatua Fire Brigade met at the station on Monday evening whon Superintendent W. Lawry presided over a good attendance of members. The six men to represent tho brigade at the demonstrations to be held at Hastings during Easter were decided and Superintendent W. Lawry, Foreman A, Gowler, Secretary-Fireman C. Meade, Firemen K. Lucas, T. Morgan and B. Fairweather were selected. Mr. R. Davey was elected an honorary member, and Mr. E. Lucas an active member. A Pahiatua resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, has donated a rose bowl for competition for the triangular demonstration held between Pahiatua, Woodville and Eketahuna. The brigade’s delegate, Fireman J. Stokes, who attended the conference held at Hastings recently, reported business attended to at the meeting.
