FEILDING BRANCH MEETING. The Feilding branch of the Douglas Social Credit Movement held its annual meeting on Monday evening. lhe treasurer reported that the year’s working showed a credit of about 245, which was considered very satisfactory seeing that the only sources of income were members' subscriptions aud donations from members and supporters. Tho following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr p. G. Guy; vice-president, Mr G. A Batt; secretary, Mr E. Petty; treasurer, Mr Elston; committee, Messrs Page, Colman, Cowdry, Short and Mrs Guy, the last-named being elected Press correspondent and reporter. It was decided that meetings in future be held the third Monday in the month, and that, the question' for discussion at next meeting be “How will Social Credit Affect the Farmer?” to be led by Messrs Cowdry and Short. Following the business of tho evening, an interesting discussion took place on whether New Zealand’s immediate policy should be to promote primary or secondary industries.
