From Our Own Correspondent. Euchre and. Dance. Held under the auspices ut the junior members of the Haicombe-Kararikl branch of the W.D.F.U. the euchre party and dance In the Compound last week was a pronounced success. This Was the second function held by the brancli and was again attended by a large crowd. Following supper the president, .Miss V. BUmden, presented the prizes won for the euchre competition. The ladies’ prizes were annexed by Mrs. Bevan and Mrs. AlcNae, while Mr. Bevan and Mr. Vartan carried off the men's awards. A lucky Gay Gordon;,) was won "by Miss Potaka and Mr. T. Searancke and a Monte Carlo by Mr. and Mrs. Grant, of Pending. Music for the dances was supplied by Mr. Bramwell. A cake which was made by Mrs.’ N. Blunden and iced by Mrs. J. Bush was presented to- Mr. Horace- AlcFarlano and Mr. Ned Marshall carried oft a dock kindly donated by Air. Sutcliffe, of Aiarton. During the evening the president thanked all present for their loyal support, and particularly Air. Fuller for the use of the compound. Mr. Ron Quarrie was an efficient M.C. Tennis. Members are reminded that entries fot the men’s and ladies’ doubles tournament to be held over the week-end close on Saturday with the' secretary or the club captain.
