More Cremation Facilities
on the advisability X of establishing a crematorium in the district, the Cemeteries Committee of Wandsworth Borough Council state that the trend of public opinion respecting cremation has greatly changed during recent years, 7480 cremat.ons having taken place in Great Britain in the year 1933, compared wtih 1988 in 19i!3. They recommend that the council approve in principle of the estaDlishment of a crematorium at Putney Vale Cemetery, and that they be authorised to submit proposals for its provision.
