Ice-creams were served and loiiie scrambles were given. Following the afternoon tea cheers were given for 'Mr and Mrs Hill. Miss M. Smith, the president of the local branch, thanked all for their attendance. | Harvest Festival. Despite tho most unfavourable season the hall platform was well stacked with a great variety of vegetables and fruit when tho Methodist followers held their ’annual festival. There was' also a fine offering of prime meat. Mr Ted Print, acting as auctioneer, disposed of the various goods in quite a professional manner and tho proceeds at the end of tho evening spoke well for the enthusiasm |of all connected with the effort.
