PERSONALITIES
Father Ferdinand Diguau, aged 57, who had been parish priest at Thames since 11)10, has died in a private hospital in Auckland. The Mount Eden Presbyterian Church is extending a call to Rev. John Allan, of Riecnrton, Christchurch. The vacancy was caused by the death of Kcv. E, J. Tipler in The death has occurred at Auckland of Captain Albert Duder, aged SO, formerly harbour master. He had been retired for many years, but retained his enthusiasm tor yachting. Mr. C. J. B. Norwood has been elected president of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce which will act as host to many overseas visitors when the congress of Federated Chambers of the British Empire meets in Wellington in October. Mr. J. T. Martin was elected vice-president.
