Makino’s Gala Day To-day
BIG DANCE TO-NIGHT g To-day the district of Makiuo will bo en fete for the carnival gala arranged: by tho settlers in aid of the district hall fund. Proceedings will commence at 2 o’clock this afternoon, when the Mayor of Feilding (Mr T. Collins) will open the carnival, and this will be followed by a baby show, the judging for which is expected to commence at-2.30 p.m. There will be numerous competitions to excite the interest of both young and old, while stalls of every description will offer good buying to the thrifty. This evening a grand dance will be held in the hall, the music for which will bo supplied by Bramwell’s orchestra. Intending'patrons'from Feilding are reminded that a freo bus will leave the Spie and Span service station at 1.30 p.m. for the' afternoon proceedings, and again at 7.30 for the evening’s dance.
