RINKS TOURNEY AT TERRACE END An enjoyable rinks tourney was held at Terrace End greens on Saturday afternoon, when 14 rinks representative of different clubs in the centre participated. Threo games of 9 heads each were played, and results were as follow-, skips only being mentioned: — Alonks (Takaro), 3 wins; Trueman (Foxton), 3 wins; Johnson (TerraceEnd), 2 w-ins, 1 loss; Pearce (Terrace End), 2 wins, 1 loss; Lawson (Terrace End, 2 wins, 1 loss; Mowleni (Palmerston North), 2 wins, 1 loss; Inglis (Alanawatu), 2 wins, 1 loss; Snell (Terrace End), 2 w-ins, 1 loss; Corbridge (Alanawatu), 1 win, 2 losses; Anderson (Terrace End), 1 win, 2 losses; Northover (Palmerston North). 1 win, 2 losses; Smith (Terrace End), 1 win, 2 lossess; Smith (Takaro), 3 losses; Wenliam (Feilding), 3 losses. In the play-off Trueman defeated Monks, 11—6. LEVIN SECURE MANSON AND BARR TROPHY. Aleeting the Takaro Club on the Takaro green on Saturday, the Levin Club were successful in lifting the Alanson and Barr Cup after a very evenly contested game. With the score at IS all on the 20th head, Levin w-ere successful in getting four on the last head, thus winning by 22—18. Levin w-ere represented by Challies, Barnes, Leversedgo and Brow-n (s), while the Takaro rink consisted of Hearsey, Jarrett, Russell, and Farrar (s). The next challenge for tho trophy comes from the Palmerston North Club, who will be invited to visit Levin on Saturday next.
