TATTERSALL’S CUP TO SALAMANDER ' LIMARCH’S CAREER FINISHED . SYDNEY, March 15. The weather was fino for Tattersall's races at Randwick on Saturday. Petor Pan, although beaten out of a place in tho Itandwick Stakes, was not disgraced. Ho was pocketed at tho turn and appeared to falter, yet he just missed a place. Tho winner, Sarcherie, made her own pace, and although hotly challenged by Gay Blonde lasted long enough to win by a narrow margin. Master Brierly got away badly. ■ Scratchmere Scar shaped reasonably well, and Contact looked extremely dangerous to the last stride. Limarch broke down at tho half-mile. Tho Youthful Stakes was notablo for the failuro of Billy Boy, who got a bad start and almost came down at the halfmilo and finished last. Tho winner, Talking, won in great style from tho much, fancied Spirits. Egmont was just beaten in the City Tattersall’s Cup by Salamander, who was always in the leading division. Hadrian fulfilled expectations, winning the Denman Stakes, but has not showed the same dash as in the spring. Limarch fractured a near fore pastern and was removed to a veterinary hospital. An attempt, will be made to save him for tho stud, providing this course is approved by tho owners, who havo been communicated with by cable. Treatment of tho injured leg has already been begun by the veterinary, Roy Stewart. Vista, which was only beaten by a half-head by Hadrian in the Denman Stakes, was kicked four times at tho starting barrier. Peter Pan pulled up well after the Randwick stakes. Jockey C. Maher was suspended for a month for not making a proper effort to keep Contact straight iii tho Randwick Stakes, resulting in Gay Blonde and King’s Head being hampered at the home turn.
