WONDERFUL RECEPTION IN PARIS.

Jean Batten is promised a great reception in Paris at the week-end when the guest of Barouno do Vendeuvre, who has done much to promote the Red Cross use of aeroplanes. Miss Batten spends the afternoon at the ofliee of Figaro and the evening as the guest of the French Aeronautic Federation. On Sunday morning she will be entertained at the CaudronRenault Company’s aerodrome, lunches at Rolangarro’s Clpb and dines at the Cerclc Interallic where the Marquise of Dcnoaillcs, recently returned from an inspection of Red Cross outposts in Africa, will be a fellow guest of honour. Famous French airmen and airwomen attended a luncheon to Miss Batten and were astonished to see a slight girlish figure. However, they were delighted at her modest answers to questions relating to her South American flight and her declaration: “I want to do better. There are other records to beat.”
