WELLINGTON, Last Night,
Pressure is still relatively low over and east of the North Island, while a slight anti-cyclone extends across thie Tasman Sea on to southern New Zealand.
Winds: Moderate and variable over the northern half of the North Island; elsewhere moderate to strong southerly to south-easterly prevailing. Seas (N.Z. waters): .Bough south of Castlepoint and in tho Cook Strait, area; elsewhere slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate south-east to southerly winds; seas moderate. Weather: Fair to fine in western and far southern districts of the South Island; elsewhere still cloudy to overcast, with mist or fog on places. Further rain probable, with some scattered heavy falls in the central parts of the North Island, but conditions improving temporarily, however, to-morrow in most districts.
