Miss Natalie Whittaker, of Mastcrton, was the guest of her aunt, Mrs. J. Cooksley, during the week.
Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Webb have Uicir two small nieces from the Dannevirke district staying with them for the school holidays. Mr. and Mrs. I. Percy and family were recent visitors to Wellington. Mrs. W. Irwin has returned to her home after visiting her daughter, Mrs. P. Cohr, of Kalranga. Misses Winifred and Nancy Grove, of Wellington, were the guests of Mr. and Jljrs. J. Cooksley during the week-end. General.
The Union Airways’ passenger planes were watched with much interest by all as they passed over Opiki on Thursday and Friday. Although the district is several miles from the nearest railway and cannot yet claim a fhain highway, it is evidently on the main air route south. The white butterfly pest seems to have become more prevalent during the past week.
