Manawatu and West Coast Stud Sheep Fair
SOUTHDOWNS REALISE POOR PRICES. Showery weather yesterday afternoon prevailed for the first day of the eighth annual Manawatu and West Coast stud sheep sale held at Feilding, when 41 stud Southdown rams were offered for auction. Bidding throughout the sale was very restrained and only five of the animals were sold, averaging about 22 guineas. The top price of the section, 35 guineas, was paid by Mr. H. B. Gibson, of Halcombe, for a 1934 entry of Mr. J. Knight, Feilding. Of six stud Southdown ewes one was purchased by Mr. W. E. Parker, Colyton, who paid 5 guineas for a 1934 entry of Mr. W. Price, Feild-
