Train Strikes Pedestrian
MAN RECEIVES SEVERE BACK INJURIES. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Jan. 11. Struck by the Napier express on the Paremata bridge to-day, James Andrews was taken to the Wellington Hospital with severe back injuries. The train was quickly brought to a standstill when the accident happened and a doctor among the passengers was called upon to attend to Andrews. The accident caused delay to the train and also delayed the inbound Palmerston train twenty-five minutes at Plimmcrton.
