Air J. P. Alurgun vehemently denied .-'Ciiate Committee insinuations that his firm had manipulated the foreign exchange rates in 11)15 in order to impress the American Government with lhe possibility of a collapse of tho pound sterling to compel President Wilson to relax his prohibition of loans to the Allies and assure a continuation of the Allied purchase of American goods.
