THUGS AND NOT SEAMEN STATED RF-SPONSIBLE

SYDNEY, Jan. 12.

Mr Higgins, secretary of the Nowcastle seamen’s strike committee, declares that thugs intent upon robbery, and not seamen, are responsible for the attacks on volunteers, adding: •‘They feel safe in the knowledge that seamen will be blamed.”
