LIMBOHM UNLUCKY AT CANTERBURY PARK,

SYDNEY, Jan. 12. The Canterbury Park races were held on Saturday. Results:— CANTERBURY HANDICAP. MISS NOTTAVA, 8.10 (Pratt) ... 1 Liinbohin, 8.2 (Maher) ' g Luxart, 7.3 (Ward) 3 Eight started. Won by half a length; 11 lengths. Time, 2.24}. This is Miss Nottava’s first win since her recovery from an injury. Limbohm’s performance was particularly creditable as ho was left at the post, losing nearly half a furlong. Clara Butt, Bed Rosebud and Hands Up were unplaced in a division of the Maiden Welter. Headmaster and Dual Ratio were unplaced in the Flying Welter. Baepata was third in the first division of the 'Nursery in which Prospective was unplaced. The Palmist was second in the second division of the Nursery. Cockpen was second in the Campsie Handicap.

McCarten in Fine Form. The former New Zealand jockey, Maurice McCarten, has regained his old form. He has been riding with conspicuous success recently, his run of victories on two-year-olds being remarkable. He rode two winners to-day, in eluding Blackbird, winner of the firsi division of the Nursery.
