Feilding Cricket

COLYTON IN STRONG POSITION.

. Mild weather conditions prevailed for the continuation of the Feilding district cricket competitions at Kowhai Park on Saturday afternoon. Tho Colyton Club, with the assistance of Gibson who, in a splendid innings contributed 77 before he was stumped by Hart, compiled the satisfactory total of 200. Public Service, iu no way dismayed, set out to equalise but they found the bowling rather difficult, six wickets having fallen for 31 runs when time was called, Feilding batted first against Feilding Old Boys, compiling 120, of which S. Sievers contributed 40 not out. Old Boys had lost seven wicketa for 117 runs when time was called, J. Dewe hitting 42 before he was bowled by Sievers. In the B grade Wesley defeated High School by 49 runs on the first innings.
