BUTTER FIRM AT 119 s. CHEESE PRICES ADVANCING. Butter prices m London continued to rise steadily last week, the market closing firm to a good demand at HSs to 119 s for finest New Zealand salted, with a further upward trend. The price advance on the previous week is 3s, while prices arc .now about 50s a cwt. above those ruling a year ago. Deliveries of New Zealand butter last week totalled 1904 tons, compared with 1900 tons for the previous week and 1960 tons a year ago. <- Australian deliveries were 737 tons, compared with 200 tons for the previous week and 1230 tons a year ago.

The Imperial Economic Committee’s estimated stocks of all butters in store was 531,11 G boxes, compared with 1,546,093 boxes a. year ago. New Zealand butter in store has increased slightly to 4502 tons,. including -102 tons ex Ruahiue and Huntingdon, compared with 445 S tons for the previous week and 9522 tons a year ago. Australian stored butter now totals only 121 S tons, compared with 1620 tons for ttye previous week and 4029 tons a year ago. Tho ehecso market continued firm last week and closed to a good demand at 59s to 60s for New Zealand white and coloured. Deliveries of New Zealand cheese last week totalled 15,735 crates, against 21,224 crates a year ago. Tho quantity in store now totals 52,710 crates, compared with 111,552 crates a year ago. Canadian deliveries last week wero 7194 boxes, compared with 10,G4S boxes a year ago, while the quantity in store has risen sharply to 124,657 boxes, compared with 97,077 boxes a year ago.
