Big Wrestling at Marton
The professional wrestling match which is to tako place at Marton on Tuesday night is of particular interest in that it brings together two New Zealanders, “Lofty” Blomlield (Auckland) and "King Elliot (Wanganui). Both men have been kept busy this season and have registered some notable performances against the imported professionals. The mantle of popular favourite with the New Zealand wrest ling enthusiasts, which was in the pastcarried by George Walker, now appears to have fallen on the shoulders of Blomlield. It is necessary only for Blomlield to continue the progress which he has mado in tho past few (•months to make him one of the really outstanding figures in tho sport and ho already occupies a high place among the men who are now operating in the Dominion. Ho has defeated the formidable- Nebraskan, Glen Wade, and, in doing so greatly impressed the critics. Blomlield has exceptional size and it is practically all musclo and bono that goes to make up his weight of nearly 17 stone. Since ho discarded his constable's uniform in favour of wrestling tights Elliot has had considerable experience in Australia and in New Zealand and is -a fast and colourful wrestler of the Detton type.
