WHEN RADIO WILL SPEAK FOR POLITICIANS If Mr. M. J. Savage, Labour leader, has his way, there wilt be a revolution iu radio broadcasting policies when Labour is returned to power. Jlc mentioned the matter during the course of his address in the city last evening. He envisioned the day when electors Mould be sitting calmly before their hresido listening over the air to wliat the country's leaders were doing auo intended to do. And for that purpose he would link up in one organised chain all the B class stations of New Zealand. Through this service ho would be able to tell the people all that the newspapers (according to Mr. .Savage) suppressed. Nothing, he said, should be kept back from them. “We must not allow the broadcasting service to die —those wonderful B .stations that helped to popularise broadcasting in the Dominion. They arc not allowed to earn their own revenue and get nothing from the annual fees that listeners have to pay. They are being enslaved and some Government, will have to see to it that they are able to live. There is no greater service on earth than the broadcasting •jervica which is bringing the nations together. ’ ’
