Bathroom Afternoon for Taonui Bride-elect

On Friday the Misses May and Flora MacLeod entertained Miss Beryl Jefferies at a “bathrodm” afternoon at “Dunvcgan,” their homo at Taonui. Miss May MacLeod was wearing a frock of blue floral marocain, Miss Flora MacLeod pink voile patterned with dowers, and Miss Joll'eries a pretty frock of silk crepe in shades of green, and leghorn picture hat. The floral arrangements in the drawing room carried out with Argentine peas, hyacinths and apple blossom, were very effective, the blue and pinn tints of the flowers blending to perfection with those of walls. Tea was served in the dining room, wihch was aglow with golden yellow azealea mollis, jasmine and daisies. A great deal of amusement resulted from two competitions that closely held the interests of the guests and much pleasure was evidenced when it was announced that the guest of honour had been successful in one. Miss Bit* Linklater carried off the prize in thp second which took tho form of a memory test. To assist in furnishing Miss Jefferies’ bathroom each of her friends had taken along a useful present and for these she expressed warm appreciation. The guests at tho party were Mesdames M. A. MacLeod, A. G. Jefferies, Murdo MacLeod, Misses Rita Linklater, Myra Smith, Joan Cousins, irtyce Maxwell, Joan Burr, Man Shortall, Hazel Hoeken aad Lulu Adsett.
