I'l'oiu Our Own Correspoiideut. The season for miniature rifles was brought to a close in Ohakea on Monday when a sweepstake shoot was held over a range of 10 shots. The result was a win by G. Robinson with I)es. Ellery second. The scores were as follows: G. Wiggins 90, N. Loot 99, I*. Ellery 9S, E. Simpson 97, H. Ellery 97, F. Simpson 95, G. Robinson 95, J. Ellery 93, Des. Ellery 93, 1). Ellery 90, A. Lammas 85. There was a good attendance at the annual rifle club ball held at Bulls. Good music and supper arrangements made a most enjoyable evening. During the evening the trophies won during the season were presented by Mr Spurdle of the Wanganui Association, who was introduced by the club president, Mr I. N. Leet. As a result of the function the club's funds will be benefited considerably. Two competitions were decided during- the evening the winners being Mr R. Lumsden (eiderdown quilt) and Mr H. Masters (iced cake). The final of the triangular shoots between Bulls, Ohakea and Sanson Clubs for the Country cup was decided on the Sanson range on Thursday and resulted in a win for Sanson team. Messrs J. Simpson and W. Robinson were successful in participating in the sweepstake. Personal. Miss E. Wade has returned to her duties at the school. Mr Glasford Gray has left the district and is at present in the Sandon district.
