Feilding Stock Sale
The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., Feilding, report on the Feilding stock sale as follows:
Fat sheep of all classes showed a sharp rise, particularly in the case of fat ewes, which rose 2s per head on the previous week’s rates. Fat cattle sold on a par with the previous week. Store hoggets were In good demand and sold at late rates. Ewes with lambs at foot sold at from 31s to 33s 3d. The dairy cattle market remains firm with good competition on goodquality heifers and cows. A small yarding of station cattle met with a slightly easier demand. Quotations: —
Fat sheep: Fat hoggets, 20s to 25s Id; fat ewes (shorn), 17s to 22s;' fat wethers, 21s to 23s Sd. Stoic sheep: Ewe hoggets, 23s to 29s -id; wether hoggets, 17s (id to 23s 6d.
Dairy cattle: Springing heifers, £-1
5s to £6 17s Gd; springing cows, £3 5s to £4 ,10s. Fat cattle: Fat bullocks, £7 to £l4. 10s; fat P.A. cows, £0 5s to £8 15s; fat P.A. heifers, £0 .10s; fat Jersey cows, £4 10s to £7 ss; P.A. vealers, £5 to £5 15s. Store cattle: Yearling P.A. steers, £3 9s to £4 7s Gd; store bullocks, £5 19s; yearling Jersey heifers, 30s to £2 7s.
