Northern Bowling, Tennis and Croquet Club

OPENING ON WEDNESDAY. Tho official opening of the new season takes place at tho Northern Club to-morrow. Given fine weather a large attendance is anticipated. Tho club is fortunate in being able to open so early due to the great progress made in the work done during tho off season. The greens are in excellent order for play and comprise twelve tennis courts, four croquet greens and two bowling greens, and already 46 new members have been enrolled for tho coming season. Mr. L. I\. Bryant, president of tho club for five years from 1922-1627 and now living in Nelson, is expected to be over for the opening and Councillor Tremaine, chairman of tho city reserves, has also accepted an invitation to bo present. The Mayor, Mr. Mansford, will declare the season open and intending members and members of kindred clubs are cordially invited to attend on Wednesday at 2 o’clock.
