SEPTEMBER MEDAL MATCH
Ia conjunction with, the September incdai match held by the Feilding Golf Club on Saturday the competition among returned soldier members ±Ol the Waimana cup was also held. Playing conditions were ideal and the reopening of No, 5 fairway, which had been closed since the hood in May last, added to the interest of playing conditions. The day’s honours wore collected by the South African War veteran, Dr. G. Phillips, whoso scoro of CO net enabled him to take the b grade medal as well as the Waimana cup. Jlis signal success was a matter for all-round congratulations. In addition to annexing these competitions tho doctor was also successful in defeating J. a. Tingey in the second round of the junior championship, and this improvement in form, following on his defeat of N. Gibsone in the first Tound, has brought him the icwnrd of a reduced handicap.
The A grado medal match, was won by R. H. raxquharson, whose net score was 72. Details arc as follow: — A Grade

Box ton, la 1 lie latter game play was taken to the 20th green. Forthcoming Matches On Wednesday next a team will visit Feilding from the Kimbolton club and next week-end Feilding will send a .team to Marion.
