Obituary
MRS. W, Ct. TABOR. Many friends will deplore tho passing of Mrs. W. G. Tabor, which occurred Last Thursday morning after a brief attack of pneumonia. Born in Timaru, Mrs. Tabor, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Grant, of Cuba street, Palmerston North, devoted her life to assisting others, her cheering smile and helping hand being ever ready to aid any charitable cause. A most impressive funeral service at All Saints’ Church was attended by many sorrowing friends from far and near. The choir sang the beautiful Psalm: ‘‘Tlio Lord is my Shepherd,” and the hymn ‘‘Lead, Kindly Light.” The scrvico was conducted by Canon G. Y. AVoodward, who referred to the deceased lady’s many sterling qualities, at the conclusion of which the organist, Mr. J. Holmes Bunnicles, played Mendelsshon’s Funeral March with much feeling. The pall-bearers were members of Lodge Manawatu Kilwinning. Floral tributes were received from the following among a large number of others: Lodge Manawatu Kilwinning, Standards 5 and 0 of the Central School, directors of H. L. Young, Ltd,, employees of 11. L. Young, Ltd., choirmaster and choir of All Saints' Church, Manawatu AVomen’s Club. A host of letters of sympathy were received and also telegrams from many other friends in the Palmerston North district, besides those further afield.
