FRENCH TART /CREASE well a shallow baking dish and line it with thin pastry. Cover with a layer of thinly-sliced apples, then a layer of raisins, and so fill np the dish, sprinkling each layer with sugar. Cover all with pastry and hake for half an hour in a moderate * oven.
