When it comes to a matter of searching a Maori land title and obtaining signatures to a transfer something of a problem is presented, and the fact is well borne out by the experience of a Wanganui solicitor who was employed by a Maori woman seeking her share of rent- from a property handed down through ancestor after ancestor. Her quota amounted to one fortieth of one shilling and sixpence.
