“A Damsel in Distress”

.Lovers of clean, wholesome humour will toe deliglited to know of an opportunity of seeing a production of the work of P. G. W.odebousc, the leading English play writer, by the Palmerston North Amateur Operatic Society at the Opera House on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of next week. “A Damsel in Distress" employs one of the largest easts of any local amateur production of recent years and many new and old members of the society will take part. Miss Ulu Hancock, Mr. IBort Eising, Mr. E. Ct. Spragigon, Mr. J. Tasker, Mr. T. M. N. Rodgers, Mr. G. H. Rabone and Mr. *M. H. Oram are all well known to Palmerston North audiences, while newcomers to the amateur stage, Miss Moffat, Miss Wischnewsky and Miss M. Richards, all have leading character parts. The easting has been well done and the production is in the hands of Mr. Fred Cousins. Popular prices are being charged and a riot of fun and laughter can be definitely guaranteed.
