Mr A. McMurray has returned from a brief motoring holiday to Napier.

It is good news to learn that Mrs A. Harrowfield is home from hospital gradually recovering her health. Mrs R. Vautier is home again from a stay at Karalcanui, with her daughter, Mrs Lancaster.

The batchelors held a meeting thi; week, when further details concerning their annual dance were made. As many of them feel that no doubt leap year will take toil of their numbers, they are out to make this year’s event something special. A first-class orchestra has been obtained, and a bus will be run. Further details will appear later in the paper. The inspector paid a visit to the school on Wednesday, and commented very favourably on the standard of work at the school.
