Although "secret police had previously passed his jokes, Werner Finck, music hall celebrity, was arrested on May 19th, during raids on cabarets and sent ter a concentration camp for lampooning Nazi leaders. Black Guards raiding Finch's flat announced, “We have come to arrest a disloyal Jew.” Finek replied, “I am not a Jew, I only happen to look intelligent.”
