From Our Own Correspondent. Long Range Rifle Clubs. Members of the Bulls and Marton Defence Rifle Clubs are now under way for what promises to be a very successful season, both bodies having just held their annual general meetings. Mr Iv W. Dalrymple presided o\er a good' muster at the Bulls Club’s meeting when a sound financial position was disclosed in the balance-sheet. The election of officers resulted as under: Patron, Col. C G Powles; president, Mr. Iv. IV. Dalrymple: deputy president, Mr. D. Dundy, secretary, Mr. H. Meads; treasurer,! • J B Robins; vice-presidents, Messrs I. Simpson, A, Norris. C. Thorby, C M. Broughton and A. IV. Anion; ammunition custodian, Mr. J. S. Robins; handicapper, Mr. L. Huddleston; lion, auditor, Mi. J. J Mansell; executive, president, secretary and treasurer; general committee, Messrs Huddleston, Thorby and McKenzie Mr. J. J. Mansell was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his services as auditor. Competitors taking part m trophy shoots may use any brand of ammunition they choose. Mr. A. J. B. Sicely was in the chair at tho first annual meeting of the Marton Club which finished up the season with an excess of expenditure over receipts of £36 3s 3d and an excess of liabilities over assets of £7 0s Gd—a very satisfactory position seeing that the club is yet in its infancy and has been so well fitted out with shooting requisites.
