Mission Work in the Sudan

IMPORTANT CONFERENCE BEING HELD Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Bound for the Sudan, Air. W. H. Alilner, Dominion secretary of the Sudan United Mission, will leave Wellington for Auckland on Sunday to join the Aorangi, which will connect with the Strathaird at Sydney. A conference is being called on the mission field and Air. Milner will represent the Australian and New Zealand board at it. So far the mission, which is the only one in the central provinces of Africa, has been responsible for the entire educational work and the Government has proposed the opening of training schools, stalled with Christian teachers, thus releasing the missionaries for more widespread evangelism.
