New Zealand to Belfast LORD BLEDISLOE TO PERFORM CEREMONY Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. At 10.30 p.m. on Thursday the Gover-nor-General (Lord Bledisloe) by pressing a button at Government House, will release an electric impulse which will launch the Blue Btar liner New Zealand Star at the shipbuilding yards of Harland and Wolff, Belfast. Prior to the actual launching his Excellency will speak concerning the development of trade between the United Kingdom and New Zealand and his remarks wii! be heard by those assembled at the actual launching on the other side of the world. The ceremony will also be broadcast, iu Lew Zealand. It will coinme.ire at 10.25 p.m., this tune coinciding with tne time set for the ceremony at Belfast, namely 10.25 a.m. on the morning of November 22. The New Zealand Ltar is the sec.,nil of three ships which are the latest edition to the Blue Star Line’s fleet for the carrying trade between the Domm ion and the United Kingdom. These vessels have been specially dcs'gned for carrying cargoes ■<: chilled beef.

Received Wednesday, 7 p.m. RUGBY, Nov. 20. It is stated that Harland and Wolff, of Belfast, have secured contracts for five motor-vessels. Three of these, ct 10,700 tons, are for the Blue Btar Line's New Zealand service, and two ol 13,000 tons are for the Union Castle tone's intermediate service to Louth A f rica.
