Farmers on Strike
. A CRISIS IN ALBERTA United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. OTTAWA, Nov. 16. At Mundare, Alberta, with all the roads blocked and picketed against grain deliveries to the elevators, the farmers’ strike took a serious turn today. In ten towns only one delivery was made by a farmer under armed police protection. The strike is being made as a protest against alleged unfair grading and excessive charges by the elevators.

Feathered
NEW YORK, Nov. 17,
A message from Vegreville (Alberta) states that George Palmer, a Communist, who. recently returned from Russia, was abducted by three men and tarred and feathered following his arrival from Calgary and an inflammatory (sjoeecli in the farmers’ strike. Seventy-seven grain elevators are standing idle and no deliveries are being made 17 centres.
