The second match-in the Hunter Shield series was concluded at AVoodvllle on Saturday afternoon, the opposing teams being AVoodville and Danevirke. At the conclusion of the first day’s play Dannevirks had a lead of 11 runs on the first innings and AVoodville had lost one wicket for 27 runs in their second innings. Continuing batting, AVoodville knocked up 11S runs, tho principal scorers being C. Gallon 24, P. Brandon 23, J. Power 17 and J. Charles 11 not out. H. Pickard, bowling for Dannevirke, accounted for five wickets in 12 overs for the small total of 17 runs. Requiring 10S runs for an outright win, the Dannevirke batsmen failed badly before the bowling of W. Mali- and J. .Power who, bowling unchanged, accounted for nine wickets in 11 overs, the remaining batsman being run out, and the whole side dismissed for the small total of 45 runs.
