Otago Club Members Enjoy Social Evening

There was a particularly large attendance at tho Otago Club monthly social on Tuesday evening, when the usual bright entertainment was provided at the Y.W.C.A. clubroom. At the conclusion of the programme the president, Mr A. J. Graham, extended a cordial welcome to visitors and thanked the performers for the pleasure they had given, and also Mrs Barlow for arranging the items. Dancing was then enjoyed until midnight, when the singing of “Auld Lang Syne” terminated a very happy function. The hostesses wero Mesdames Wilkinson and Peters and Mr B. McCulloch carried out the duties of M.C. Tho programme was as follows: Piano duet, Mrs J. K. Paton and Miss E. Corke; recitations. Miss Whittaker; 'cello solo, Miss Joan. Paton; songs, Miss M. Walker, Miss Nell’ Sutherland, Miss Betty Inglish. and Mr F. Wollerman. The accompaniments were played by Mesdames Paton and Barlow. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Sir and Mrs J. Dale.
