Tho 49th Grand Metropolitan Spring Show of the Manawatu and AVest Coast A. and P. Association will this year bo hold on AVednesday, Thursday and Friday, October 31, November 1 and 2 next. The largo and commodious showgrounds have tho most up-to-dato conveniences and accommodation for the exhibiting of live stock in tho Dominion, and breeders now recognise tho benefits to bo .derived by exhibiting their : bloodstock at this tho premier show of the Dominion.. The prize list
schedule has been thoroughly revised by a very keen and enthusiastic committee, with tlic result that tho booklet provides a most attractive list of generous cash prizes, handsome cups and valuable trophies for competition in the various sections. Classes are provided for all breeds of purebred stock, horses, cattle, sheep, pigs and dogs being provided for. Tho schools aud domestic divisions are also lavishly catered for, and a varied and complete ' list of classes for art, photography, needlework, cookery, pickles and preserves,
etc., have been provided. School entries close on Saturday, September 29, while thoso for the general classes close on Saturday, October 6. Entries in the live stock sections will bo received up to and including Thursday, October IS, and intending exhibitors arc advised to get their entries in early. Prizedist schedules are now available and may be had on application to the secretary, Mr Hugh Kissling, Box 85, Palmerston North. Dog schedules may be had on application to Mr J. H. McDowall, 272, Church Street, Palmerston North.
