Convict in Leg-irons Scales 12-foot Wall

Although hampered by leg-irons, John Slccth, 24, made a daring escape from Warwick Gaol. As Slceth had escaped from gaol on three previous occasions, he was leg-ironed when lie was placed in his cell. It is believed that he used tho handle of a bucket to remove mortar from bricks. He then pulled out about 30 bricks and made his way to an adjoining cell, which lie unlocked, lie then passed into the yard and sealed a 12-foot wooden wall.
A few days ago Slceth eluded the police after several shots had been fired iu the main street.
