Prom Our Own Correspondent. There was a fair attendance at the annual meeting of tho Aratika Tennis Club held on Friday night last, and the following officers were elected:—Patron, Mr. J. A. Wealleans; president, Mr. G. Wilson; secretary, Mr. J. D. Wealleans; club captain, Mr. C. Burr; committee, Misses J. Burr, H. Walker, B. Dungoy and Mr. O. Martin. A vote of thanks was accorded Mrs. C. Wilson, who at all limes showed a keen interest in the club and gave valuable help wherever possible. A competition was held recently and a satisfactory sum was raised to .swell the club funds. Mr. Len Shepherd, of Feilding, was the winner. It was decided to have the courts top-dressed and a new net procured. Opening day, weather permitting, will bo held on October 13.
