From. Our Own Correspondent. Golf Titles Decided. Tho finals of the Itangitikei ladies’ golf championship were decided on Monday afternoon. Miss Mavis Tricker, whose form this season has been the acme of consistency, took the senior title after defeating Mrs. McDonell 3 and 3, the latter making a very creditable showing against the champion. The junior title was fought out between Miss Barbara Stevens and Mrs. McKelvie, the former running out victorious. Miss Stevens has shown promising form this year, and is expected to do well among the senior players next year. Tho results of the L.G.U. medal rounds played on Tuesday are:—Silver medal: Miss F. Price, 03 —IS—75; Mrs. McDonell, 90 —is— 77; Mrs. Macltay, 91 —15 —79; Mrs. Dean, 9G—17—79. Bronze medal: Miss Goodall, 98—32—6 G; Mrs. H. Pearce, 101 —33—68; Miss O. Levett, 97—27—70; Mrs. J. S. Tricker, 99—25—71. Mrs. Gibbons sent in the best junior card. Personal. Mr. Herbert Kearney, of the Bulls P. and T. staff, has been transferred to Ormondville. A very courteous and efficient officer, Mr. Kearney will be missed by local residents. While playing with some schoolmates in Bulls on Tuesday evening a little girl— Maureen Huddleston—had a nasty fall down a staircase and broko her arm.
